Thank you notecard with pen

Thank You!

As many of you know this will be my last post on this blog as your District Executive. From the bottom of my heart, I want to express the utmost gratitude to the volunteers and leaders of the Lewis & Clark District for all the time you dedicate to Scouting, and for all the support and mentoring you have shown to me, personally, over the past two years. I have been fortunate to work with and learn from such dedicated and learned Scouters.

We have made amazing accomplishments for the Scouting community across Lewis & Clark District, and I look forward to seeing how the acorns we planted grow into mighty oak trees.

Please know that Scouting is in my blood – I will continue in my roles as Pack Committee Chair for Pack 51, Advancement Coordinator for Troop 51, and I hope to serve as the Unit Commissioner for Pack 31.

It truly has been my honor to serve the District, and I look forward to seeing all of you out Scouting in the years to come.

Yours in Scouting Spirit,

P.S. Since I’ll be losing access to my email address later this week, the best way to reach me is My phone # will remain the same: 406-282-1129, and you can always follow my Facebook Page:

May Volunteer Spotlight: Kelsie Tilman

This month we would like to highlight the outstanding efforts of Pack 1’s Assistant Cubmaster Kelsie Tilman.

Over the past few months, Kelsie has gone above and beyond to ensure the each of the Pack’s dens are meeting and advancing. She put together packets for each Scout to ensure they had all the supplies they needed to #ScoutOn.

Please join us in thanking Kelsie for everything she does for Scouting!

Many of our Packs and Troops are very close to reaching their goal and earning rewards like free pinewood derby cars, and discounts at the Scout Shop, and free adult training! Push them over the edge!

Thank You Video Request

Please send in your video by Wednesday, April 15

Courageous men and women are putting their personal health and safety at risk every day to make sure we have essential needs. Their jobs range from healthcare employees and emergency services to people handling groceries and delivering packages.

It’s important to say thank you and demonstrate that the Montana Scouting community cares and appreciates their brave actions.

Here’s how you can help:

Make a short video (5 to 10 seconds) of a Scout or Scouter in uniform saying thank you and send it to us. We will edit them together and share the video out to as large an audience as possible.

Here is an example of the kind of message we are looking for:

· “(Your name) (Your Unit) (City) Thank you, _ for keeping our community safe.”

· “Thank you for your hard work and service from (Unit) (City).”

Or even a simple, “Thank you!”

When possible, record videos in quiet, well-lit areas. Please shoot horizontal videos. Multiple Scouts when siblings are ok, but units should NOT get together. Please also include the spelling of the Scout or Scouter’s name at the end of the video (after a brief pause) or in the email.

Videos can be uploaded to this OneDrive folder: or email your videos to

The deadline is Wednesday, April 15. We will publish the video on April 20.

Sandra’s Office Hours & Appointments

I am still available to help!

With the closure of the Montana Council offices, I will be working from home. I know you are still Scouting and I want to help! Use this calendar to schedule office time with me.

I am available in the District’s Discord Server for questions or discussions, or if you have a great idea that might help all of us! Thank you to Digital Communications Chair Steve D for keeping us connected during these trying times.
