National Public Lands Day AIS Education Event

editor’s note: This was received from OA Chapter Advisor Gene Cantley. This event take place on the same day as the District Popcorn Kickoff event.

On behalf of the Bureau of Land Management, I would like to extend an invitation to you and your Scouts to attend our National Public Lands Day event on September 28th, 2019, from 10am to 1pm at White Sandy Campground.

The event will focus on Aquatic Invasive Species education and will include games, prizes, t-shirts, lunch and hopefully a presentation by a wildlife biologist. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to get outside and have fun learning about how to protect our valuable resources.

If you have questions and/or would like to attend, please contact me as soon as possible. We would like to have a good idea of numbers by August 1st. In addition, please feel free to share this information with any of your contacts who have kids who might be interested. We are looking for more attendees.
