There are a bunch of opportunities for area Boy Scouts to participate in Independence Day parades in the Lewis & Clark District!
You are invited to march in the Great Falls 4th of July parade and help carry the huge US Flag that is near the start of the parade. We will meet at 10:30 am at Whittier Park on the south side of the civic center. It is recommended that units either park or drop off scouts in the parking lot accessible from River Drive next to Pacific Steel & Recycling’s headquarters since the streets will be closed.
Troop 1, 26, and Pack 143 are going to the Black Eagle parade. Staging will be at 10:30 am at the Black Eagle Community Center. The parade starts at 11. There will be a free lunch following the parade at the Moose Lodge.
Meet in full uniform at 9 am at the storage units across from the County Courthouse. The parade starts promptly at 10 am. This year’s parade route is just one way – there’s no return route, but we’ll walk back to the starting point together afterward. Make sure to wear comfy walking shoes
I hope you have a safe and happy Independence Day!
Yours in Scouting,
