Service Opportunity: Missouri River

On Saturday, May 5, 2018 and Sunday, May 6, 2018  Cubs, Boy Scouts, and Ventures are all invited and encouraged to attend a service project near Craig.  The Upper Missouri Watershed Alliance is looking for around 30 Scouts and adults to help each day.  Scouts and Scouters are welcome to attend Saturday, Sunday, or both.  The Alliance will provide lunch both days.

One troop that is planning on camping Saturday evening.  If this is something your unit is interested in, we will need to know ASAP.  Please email Loren. We need to finalize this with the landowners, thus the rush on units planning to camp.  Camping is an option for Troops and Crews, but not Packs (sorry, they will have to make the drive each day if they want to help out both days).  There will be outhouses available at the project site.  The camping part would not be a district event, so there is no program planned.  All meals would be on your own other than the lunch that will be available to all volunteers.

One very important detail, Prickly Pear District needs a headcount by Monday, April 30th so we can let the Alliance know how many folks to plan on.  This is really important so they can have the right amount of food. Email Loren your RSVP.
