Gordon Rubard Retirement Open House

gordySaying goodbye to Montana Council Scout Executive, Gordon Rubard will not be an easy task for those of us in Montana Council.
Of course, it is with excitement, support, and enthusiasm we see him onto the next phase of his and Ellie’s adventure. It is impossible, however, to not feel the twinge of sadness that accompanies the departure of a leader and friend.
We hope you can join us at an Open House we are hosting for Mr. Rubard on Wednesday, June 28th at the Great Falls Office from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come by with stories, well wishes, and good cheer to share as we celebrate Mr. Rubard’s retirement. Light refreshments will be served.

Great Falls, 4th of July Parade.  “United We Stand”

13.july4th.hbscene.070412.msEvery year Scouts in Great Falls participate in the 4th of July Parade.  If Scouts in your unit plan to participate, please contact: dustin.shoemake@scouting.org .
Please respond by 12pm on Monday, June 26th.  If we do not have a sufficient number of Scouts, we will not be able to participate this year.

Who Is the Lewis & Clark District?

The short answer is… YOU ARE!  All Scouts, leaders, and families make up the district.  In fact, everyone in our community is a part of the district.  In Scouting we strive to involve our community in activities and meetings  so our youth have the best possible opportunities and are offered as much as Scouting can offer.
To aid in these efforts, a District Committee is established to plan for activities and ways our Scouts and Leaders can be supported.  This committee should reflect the communities we live in; military, ranching, agriculture, business, retired, education, etc.
To serve our Scouts, take a look at the list of the opportunities for individuals in our community.  If you feel you do not meet any of the listed opportunities, you likely know someone that does.  People may be more willing to help than we think.  Find opportunities by clicking HERE
